Key selling points:

  • The book was named amoug the 20 best books of 2008 by French magazine LIRE. It has sold over 50 000 copies in France so far and over 100 000 in the rest of the world.
  • On YouTube, Mouk has 1 million views per mounth.
  • On each issue of the Zouzous magazine (the magazine associated with France 5’s «Zouzous» kids’ program), several pages are dedicated to Mouk with stories and games.
  • Mouk has been selected as one of the six best TV properties of the year in the 8th edition of the MIP Junior Licensing Challenge in 2011. This competition rewards the kids’ property with greatest licensing and merchandising potential.

Presentation:

Mouk is a curious and adventurous little bear, who is accompanied by his friend Chavapa. He loves getting on his bike to travel the worlds, visiting the most famous towns and capitals. On this playful journey, children make discoveries along with Mouk: ice finishing in Canada, Holi celebration in India, a wedding in Africa, the hatching of the turtle eggs on a beach in Madagascar... The series is a real treasure hunt, wich provokes children's curiosity, resourcefulness and even a little mischief... Mouk is a programme that allows children to encounter the world though geography, cultures, traditions and differences.

Mouk is based on Marc Boutavant's beautiful bok "Around the world with Mouk: a trail of adventure", published in october 2007 by Albin Michel.
