‘Molang’ Swims into the Paris Aquarium

The exhibition aims to educate children and their parents on how to save the oceans.

French animation studio Millimages has partnered with the Paris Aquarium on a special exhibition that has been designed to educate children on how to preserve the oceans from plastic pollution. The exhibition will be fronted by Molang from the TV show “Molang.”

Running from Jan. 11 through March 9, Molang and his best friend Piu Piu are featured heavily throughout the venue, with the Aquarium having been rebranded with “Molang” wall graphics, ticket counters, boutique, screens, TV, flyers and a photobooth. A live show will also be featured in the exhibition.

“We are delighted to see Molang and Piu Piu delivering a campaign such as this at the highly regarding Paris Aquarium,” says Ian Wickham, director, Licensing Link Europe. “Part of the DNA of the show and interaction of the key characters focuses around happiness and mutual respect – which fits in perfectly with the education of young people to how to respect the oceans, which, in turn, delivers a feeling of happiness that they are doing their bit in understanding how we can make positive differences.”

In addition, every weekend and through the school holidays, Molang will appear at the Aquarium for meet and greets with fans. Children can also take part in creative workshops themed around the marine world with the characters, as well as a treasure hunt, while a dedicated app will be available during the exhibition featuring interactive games.

“We have been working on this collaboration for more than a year now,” says Lise Consentio, director, marketing and communication, Millimages. “It has been a unique experience to customize 3,500 square meters in the very heart of Paris with ‘Molang!’”
